Teaching in Riverview, Michigan, Ashlee Schoen delivers quality, curriculum-informed English lessons to students at Gabriel Richard High School. She was previously a history and English teacher at schools spanning Sterling Heights and Warren, and had a dynamic lesson approach that incorporated technological and traditional modes of learning. Seeking out continuous improvement pathways, Ashlee Schoen ensured that state and district standards were fully met.
Ms. Schoen’s high school duties extended to serving as student activities director and leadership teacher/advisor. She planned various events spanning homecoming, prom, and student elections, and guided student organizations such as Student Council and Student Senate. Her efforts earned her recognition in 2009 from the Michigan Association of Student Councils as “Student Council Advisor of the Year Award.”
Ashlee Schoen is also a former swim instructor, coach, and lifeguard, and has experience as the Tam O’ Shanter Country Club pool director. She has served as chairperson of the Grosse Ile Golf and Country Club’s Swim Committee and chaired the competitive swim team.
